A standard drafting team consisting of experts from the Vehicle Emission Control Center (VECC) of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology and other institutions visited Yuchai. They held a special forum with technical teams from Yuchai and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor. In-depth exchanges were conducted on core topics including the latest emission regulatory policies of China National Stage VII for commercial vehicles and China National Stage V for non-road mobile machinery, technical implementation difficulties and industry development trends, jointly promoting the low-carbon, green and high-quality development of the internal combustion engine industry.
Experts from the VECC standards drafting team elaborated on the formulation logic, core indicators, implementation plans and supervision requirements of the China National Stage VII emission standards for commercial vehicles and China National Stage V emission standards for non-road mobile machinery. They systematically shared key industry priorities such as coordinated control of mobile carbon and pollutant emissions, deep emission reduction and upgrading of testing technologies. The team clarified stricter control standards and development orientations for internal combustion engine emissions in the new phase, pointing out a compliance-oriented development path for enterprises to advance technological iteration.
