Causes Of Radiator Overflow in Diesel Generator Set

Leave a message

The reason for radiator overflow in diesel generator set may be that the oil injector water seal sleeve is not tightly sealed or cracked. There is a water jacket between the injector and the cylinder head. The waterproof sleeve is connected to the watercourse and sealed with a rubber seal ring. After long-term operation, the connection between the cylinder head water jacket and the cylinder head will have small cracks due to aging, or the rubber will be badly sealed due to aging. The burned mixture seeps into the water channel through tiny gaps, causing the water in the radiator to overflow.

The oil cooler problem may have two conditions:

1. The radiator core has cracks or sand holes;

2. The sealing rubber ring at the junction of radiator core and cylinder block oil passage is not tight. In this way, the oil will enter the water, and too much oil will overflow from the radiator after entering the water (this is easy to distinguish, because the oil will overflow from the radiator with the water, the oil can only be less and less without qualitative change). The radiator sewer chamber is connected by a plurality of pipes. If due to improper operation, the radiator accumulates more scale, the pipeline is easy to block; When the diesel engine rotates at high speed, part of the water enters the small circulation through the pump, and the other part enters the radiator water supply chamber. However, because the distribution pipe is blocked, the water overflows from the feedwater room. Here, when you touch the top and bottom of the radiator, you will see a significant temperature difference. When disassembling, only need to disassemble the radiator and dredge the lower distribution pipe; Or add vinegar to the radiator, let the diesel engine run for five minutes, and then change the water. After several cycles, the radiator can be basically cleaned.
