On April 10th, 24 Foton Auman customers from Shandong Province visited Yuchai and signed an on-site order for 300 heavy-duty trucks equipped with Yuchai gas engines. These vehicles are set to be deployed on key national logistics trunk routes, enabling more efficient transportation operations.
The customers are affiliated with major logistics companies across Shandong, and their operating routes cover core segments of China's resource transportation sector. These include northwest coal transportation, Xinjiang trunk lines, dedicated routes between Tangshan and Jiangsu, iron powder shipments from Rizhao to Shenmu (Shanxi Province), freight services between Linqing and Tianjin, and steel transportation in Tangshan. Most of these routes involve long-haul, heavy-load, and high-time-sensitivity operations, which demand exceptional engine performance in terms of power, reliability, and fuel economy.
To meet these rigorous requirements, Yuchai's flagship products-including the YCK14FN, YCK14N, and YCK15N gas engines, as well as the YCK12L diesel engine-have become the customers' preferred choice.
Notably, the YCK14N series gas engines adopt high-strength cylinder block materials and intelligent torque control technology, delivering high torque output at low speeds to effortlessly handle full-load starting, hill climbing, and overtaking scenarios. Integrating small-inertia dual-flow passage supercharging and vortex combustion technology, these engines ensure more thorough gas combustion. For example, on round-trip operations along Xinjiang trunk lines, tractors equipped with the YCK14N engine achieve a gas consumption reduction of over 2 kilograms per 100 kilometers compared to existing vehicles, translating to annual fuel cost savings of tens of thousands of yuan per unit.
The YCK15N gas engine, boasting 595 horsepower, elevates the performance of high-horsepower gas engines to new heights, delivering power performance on par with diesel vehicles for ultra-long-haul trunk logistics. Since the start of 2026, Yuchai has intensified its efforts across key market segments, including tractors, engineering vehicles, cargo trucks, special-purpose vehicles, and buses. Tractor power sales have increased by 45% year-on-year, while engineering vehicle power sales have grown by 42% year-on-year. Yuchai has also secured a series of bulk orders in regions such as Fujian, Xizang, and Shanxi.
