The 10th International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Congress & Exhibition opened its doors in Kunshan on June 10. Wan Gang, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, visited Yuchai's hydrogen energy booth to review its core lineup, covering PEM hydrogen production equipment, fuel cell systems and hydrogen internal combustion engines.
Wan Gang has long advocated for the hydrogen energy sector. He has repeatedly stated at public forums that hydrogen will be a central pillar of the global energy transition and a critical solution to deliver green, low-carbon growth in transportation and manufacturing. He encouraged industry players to focus on homegrown technological innovation and accelerate the commercial launch of hydrogen energy hardware.
During the tour, Wan Gang was briefed in full detail on Yuchai's end-to-end hydrogen product portfolio, including its R&D progress, technical breakthroughs and real-world commercial deployments. He highly commended Yuchai's research successes and industrialization breakthroughs in hydrogen combustion engines, hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen production gear. He also praised the company's strategy to build its hydrogen business on home soil and deepen its focus across the full hydrogen value chain.
Organized jointly by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) and the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association, this congress and exhibition is the world's leading flagship event for hydrogen and fuel cell industries, renowned for its massive scale, high-level expertise and global influence. At this year's show, Yuchai showcased three key products: the YCK06H hydrogen engine, an electrolyzer hydrogen production system, and a 120 kW fuel cell system.
