The Shiyan Wudang Yungu Data Center project is equipped with 5 units of 1800kW (16VC) generator sets, delivered in August 2022.
As a key digital economy infrastructure project in Hubei Province and a core green computing hub in Northwestern Hubei, the Shiyan Wudang Yungu Data Center undertakes the important mission of implementing the East Data, West Computing Initiative and boosting the development of the regional digital economy. The project is configured with five Yuchai 16VC series 1800kW generator sets, officially delivered in August 2022, to deliver reliable power guarantee for the full-scale stable operation of the data center.
The 16VC model is Yuchai's flagship high-power power unit. Featuring a V-type 16-cylinder configuration, it boasts ample power reserve, superior operational stability and low carbon emission as well as low fuel consumption. With a prime power rating of 1800kW, it fully satisfies the stringent requirements of uninterrupted power supply and emergency standby power for large-scale data centers. Fitted with an advanced electronic fuel injection system, the generator set delivers precise fuel control and meets emission standards. It aligns perfectly with the low-carbon development positioning of Wudang Yungu's green water-cooled data center supported by the water resources of the Danjiangkou Reservoir, achieving a perfect balance between high-efficiency power generation, energy conservation and environmental protection.
Following the on-time delivery in August 2022, on-site coordination, positioning, installation and commissioning were completed successively, greatly enhancing the core power redundancy capability of the Wudang Yungu Data Center. The five 1800kW 16VC generator sets form a high-standard standby power cluster, enabling rapid switchover in events of mains power fluctuation and unexpected power failure. It ensures 7×24 uninterrupted safe operation of server rooms, computing power equipment and auxiliary systems, laying a solid power foundation for the data center to support government cloud computing, commercial cloud computing, internet services and other businesses.
The successful delivery of this project fully validates the mature application capability of Yuchai 16VC high-power series generator sets in the IDC industry. It further strengthens Yuchai's market layout in digital infrastructure and green computing power projects across Central China, empowering Shiyan Wudang Yungu to build a benchmark of leading green intelligent computing in Central China with highly reliable power solutions.
