On May 29, celebrating the 10th National Science and Technology Professionals Day, Yuchai hosted the 2026 themed event for this occasion. The company officially launched the K-Power Five-Dimensional Technology Brand and eight new products, and presented RMB 93.3 million in bonuses for scientific and technological innovation projects. At the event, Yuchai unveiled the K-Power Five-Dimensional Technology Brand, its second proprietary technology brand following the Flywheel Range-Extension Technology. Comprising five core technologies namely POWERBLADE, ECODRIVE, FORTIENGINE, SMOOTHRIDE and SMARTPILOT, it highlights Yuchai's exclusive advantages in five key areas: power performance, fuel economy, reliability, comfort and intelligent capabilities.
This launch marks a major strategic layout for Yuchai to foster long-term core competitiveness amid evolving industrial trends. It indicates that Yuchai's technological innovation has entered a new stage of branding, systematization and high-end development, setting a new benchmark for technological upgrading across the industry.
Yuchai rolled out a lineup of cutting-edge new products to lead industrial innovation. The eight newly released products cover three major business segments: traditional power, new energy power and intelligent equipment, which can fully meet the demands of diverse application scenarios.
The all-new YC6GL Medium-Speed Diesel Engine adopts Yuchai's latest ECODRIVE 5.0, FORTIENGINE 5.0 and SMARTPILOT 5.0 technologies. Designed for coastal transport vessels, fishing boats, tugboats and work vessels, it features higher reliability and durability, as well as lower fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
The YCK16N Heavy-Duty Gas Traction Engine stands as the pinnacle of Yuchai's gas engine portfolio. It delivers a maximum torque of 3,400 N·m and a peak power of 750 hp. Equipped with FORTIENGINE 5.0 and ECODRIVE 5.0 technologies, it achieves the lowest gas consumption among engines of the same displacement. It strikes an optimal balance between high efficiency and strong power, lifting overall transportation efficiency by 15%.
Developed for heavy-duty mining equipment, the YCK32 Mining Diesel Engine serves 100-tonne mining dump trucks, fracturing trucks, large drilling rigs and other heavy-load machinery. Integrated with FORTIENGINE 5.0 and ECODRIVE 5.0 technologies, it boasts robust power output and outstanding adaptability to harsh working conditions. Its fuel consumption is 10% to 15% lower than comparable products, outperforming imported power products in performance and quality.
Yuchai also released the Hydrogen-Electric Hybrid Integrated Solution. Leveraging the strengths of hydrogen and electric power, this zero-carbon solution improves green energy utilization, enables on-demand long-term energy storage, and supports multi-energy complementation and flexible conversion. It is widely applicable to offshore integrated energy islands, integrated energy supply systems for industrial parks, and microgrid systems in remote and special regions.
Four new products and technologies were unveiled for the intelligent equipment sector. The 806 integrated axle housing and 15MD00 crankshaft for generator units adopt iron-mold sand casting technology. Yuchai is the first domestic enterprise to apply the "iron for steel" concept to the production of integrated axle housings and large crankshafts. These products are lightweight while maintaining high structural strength.
The YC-U400 Swivel-Head Five-Axis Machining Center adopts an integrated full direct-drive design with zero backlash transmission on the two rotary axes. The surface roughness of machined parts reaches Ra 0.8, and processing efficiency is increased by 40%.
Yuchai's world-first wheel-end direct drive control technology for construction machinery integrates integrated wheel-end direct drive, energy management and distributed drive and control, forming an electromechanical-energy-control collaborative system. It realizes leapfrog progress in equipment performance, with a fuel-to-electricity efficiency ratio of 10:1 and energy efficiency exceeding 90%. Backed by 17 patents, this technology builds a reusable platform for new energy construction machinery and fundamentally addresses the pain points of conventional products.
Talent is the primary resource for innovation-driven development. During the event, Yuchai honored 17 projects that won the 2025 First Class Award for Technological Achievements, paying tribute to research teams and individuals who have made remarkable contributions to technological breakthroughs. These award-winning projects focus on tackling core key technologies and resolving a host of core technological bottlenecks, achieving dual progress in technical performance and market value. They embody the dedication and pioneering spirit of Yuchai's science and technology professionals.
