Recently, a batch of Yuchai bus engines has been delivered to Nigerian customers, realizing the substitution of products from a premium international brand.
It is reported that these vehicles were originally equipped with engines made by the above-mentioned premium international brand. After years of operation, those engines were plagued by excessive fuel consumption, weak power performance and soaring maintenance costs. The customer was therefore in urgent need of a full upgrade to the vehicles' powertrain systems and ultimately chose Yuchai engines.
Retrofitted with Yuchai's new power units, the renovated buses boast enhanced power output, improved ride comfort and reduced overall operating costs. The customer voiced high praise for the exceptional performance of Yuchai engines.
The Chairman of the National Automotive Council (NAC) of Nigeria expressed great satisfaction with Yuchai engines. He pointed out that the council would seize this cooperation opportunity to intensify training for local automotive technical talents, introduce advanced foreign machinery, realize complete local vehicle manufacturing, promote localized supporting facilities covering the whole upstream and downstream industrial chains, and make greater contributions to the advancement of Nigeria's automotive industry.
