When using diesel generators, diesel generators produce blue smoke is one of the most common faults, the root cause of blue smoke in diesel generator exhaust is that the oil of diesel generators is related to combustion, that is, the oil is abnormal into the combustion chamber, the main reasons for diesel engine burning oil are the following.
1. Too much oil.
If the oil is refueled too much and the oil surface is too high, it will also lead to an increase in the exhaust pressure in the crankcase. The result, like the failure of the breathing apparatus, will cause a large amount of oil to enter the combustion chamber, and serious blue smoke.
There was once a diesel generator with an external tank, which was smoking heavily and consuming fuel badly. At first, it was thought that the piston ring and cylinder liner were badly worn, but after removing the cylinder head, the piston ring and cylinder liner were normal. After gradual disassembly and analysis, it was eventually found that the oil return pump inlet in the diesel generator tank was blocked, a large amount of oil could not be returned to the external tank, and there were diesel generators inside, leading to serious smoke in the diesel generator.
2. Cylinder liner and piston ring wear seriously.
Due to some reasons (including poor running-in, poor quality of air filter, long-term low-speed and low-temperature operation, unqualified oil quality, etc.). Lead to early wear or abnormal wear of the piston ring and cylinder liner of the diesel generator, which worsens the sealing condition of the piston ring and cylinder liner. On the one hand, the oil directly into the combustion chamber combustion; On the other hand, because the cylinder liner and piston ring seal is not tight, the combustion gas enters the crankcase, increasing the exhaust pressure, forcing the oil through the breathing device into the snorkel.
If the diesel generator is equipped with a closed breathing apparatus, a large amount of oil will enter the intake pipe and burn through the suction cylinder, and blue smoke will be seriously emitted when the diesel generator is used. If an open crankcase respirator is installed on a diesel generator, oil will come out of the exhaust port.
