On November 27th, Chang Rui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BAIC Foton Motor Co., Ltd., and his delegation visited the Yuchai Thailand factory. Wu Qiwei, President of Yuchai Group, introduced the product planning and capacity construction of Yuchai Thailand factory to Chang Rui and his delegation.
Yuchai and Futian have been cooperating for more than 20 years, working together on localization projects in Thailand to promote factory construction, product certification, localization manufacturing certification, and other related work. As of now, Yuchai Thailand factory has completed its opening and entered the mass production stage. In 2025, Yuchai Thailand factory will increase investment in production line equipment and expand production models to better meet the needs of customers such as Foton Motor.
Chang Rui expressed appreciation for the achievements made in the construction of Yuchai Thailand factory and the coordinated promotion of localization projects with Foton. He affirmed the progress of product matching and market development of both sides, and hoped that both sides would continue to deepen cooperation and establish a new benchmark for the coordinated development of China's automotive industry chain overseas.
On the same day, the completion ceremony of Foton Motor's Thailand factory and the one millionth vehicle export offline ceremony were held in Bangkok. Multiple vehicle products equipped with Yuchai engines were exhibited at the event site. Wu Qiwei represented Yuchai at the event and witnessed the important moment of global development of Foton Motor together.
