Southeast Asian Alumina Plant 8×2000kW Units Black Start Project (16VC)

Leave a message

This project is designed for a captive power station with 8 sets of 2000kW generating units at an alumina plant in Southeast Asia, featuring a dedicated black start system and project code 16VC.

Black start capability refers to the ability to independently restore unit startup and auxiliary power supply through a self-contained black start device without external power support under extreme conditions of full plant blackout and external grid failure.

The core function of the project is to quickly restore key auxiliary equipment, control systems, lubrication and cooling systems, start the main generator sets one by one according to the preset logic, and rebuild an independent microgrid in the plant area.

Through the 16VC black start scheme, the outage and shutdown time can be minimized to protect the safety of alumina production process equipment and avoid major production losses and safety risks.

The scheme features high automation, fast response, and stable and reliable operation, adapts to continuous industrial production scenarios, and enhances the energy system resilience and emergency support capability of the plant.
