16VC 2000kW Generator Set Project of Fujian Southeast Healthcare Big Data Center

Leave a message

The electromechanical standby power supporting project of Fujian Southeast Healthcare Big Data Center is fully equipped with 33 sets of 16VC-series 2000kW high-power diesel generators, which are dedicated power supply devices for high-security-level medical data centers. Adopting the construction mode of phased delivery and implementation, the first batch of 4 units completed production delivery, on-site acceptance and overall commissioning in April 2020. All performance indicators of the equipment met relevant standards, and the units were officially put into regular standby operation of the computer room.

As a mature mainstream model suitable for large-scale computing power and professional industry data centers, the 16VC unit runs at a rated speed of 1500r/min and complies with the domestic 50Hz power supply standard. With a standby power of 2000kW per unit, it features sufficient load capacity and stable output. The units deliver excellent transient response and speed regulation performance, meeting the G3 power supply standard for high-grade data centers and adapting to the long-term, continuous and highly reliable operation requirements of medical big data centers. In addition, the units conform to national environmental protection emission standards with energy-saving and low-carbon operation performance.

Featuring a solid and compact overall structure, the equipment has outstanding shock resistance, operational stability and durability, adapting to the harsh working conditions of data centers including 24-hour standby, instantaneous emergency start and frequent switching. Compared with traditional generator sets, this model has lower operating energy consumption and a wider economic operating range. Its standardized modular structure facilitates daily maintenance, inspection and parts replacement, effectively reducing the later electromechanical operation and maintenance costs. Adopting a cluster parallel deployment scheme, all 33 units support independent single-unit start-up and multi-unit synchronous parallel operation. They can instantly switch to power supply in case of mains power failure and grid fluctuation, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of key computing facilities such as medical servers, storage devices and core network equipment.

As a crucial regional medical data hub, the center undertakes massive resident health data, diagnosis and treatment information, medical scientific research data and smart medical services, with much higher requirements for data confidentiality and business continuity than ordinary data centers. The supporting construction of the 33 high-power standby units has established a complete dual-redundancy power supply system supported by mains power and diesel generators, which effectively avoids security risks such as business interruption, data loss and system downtime caused by power supply faults. The overall installed capacity fully meets the full-load operation demand of the existing computer room and reserves sufficient power redundancy for subsequent room expansion, business growth and computing power upgrading.

The phased delivery and operation of the generator sets have greatly improved the infrastructure power supply guarantee level of Fujian Southeast Healthcare Big Data Center, consolidated the power foundation for the safe, stable and continuous operation of the medical data platform, and provided reliable underlying electromechanical support for regional medical digital construction, healthcare big data aggregation and application, and the implementation of smart medical services.
