Severe floods hit Hengzhou City, Guangxi, triggered by torrential rains from Typhoon Maysak. As floodwaters have gradually receded in recent days, large-scale mud clearance and post-disaster recovery work are fully underway across the city.
In compliance with flood control and disaster relief arrangements issued by the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, the regional government and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Yuchai Group swiftly responded and stepped up to shoulder its social responsibilities. Beyond donating emergency relief supplies, the Group immediately mobilized over 30 sets of mechanical equipment and dispatched a 70-member support team consisting of Party members and core technicians to the flood-hit frontlines in Hengzhou to fully aid local post-disaster restoration.
At the recovery sites, the team labored under harsh working conditions: sweltering heat, sticky mud, persistent dampness and pervasive foul odors. Yuchai's Party members and the Party Member Task Force played an exemplary vanguard role, charging forward to overcome hardships. All team members divided tasks clearly and took turns working long hours, focusing on core assignments including street mud removal and road obstacle clearance. As of July 14, the Yuchai support team had cleared more than 8,000 square meters of roadways and carted away over 450 truckloads of silt and waste.
Drawing on its professional technical strengths, Yuchai stationed 30 service personnel across 15 service stations in Yunbiao Town to provide free emergency repairs for mud-clearing vehicles and construction machinery. By July 14, the team had finished a total of 34 vehicle repair tasks.
