Recently, Li Hanyang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Yuchai Group and Chairman of Yuchai Co., Ltd., led a team to visit multiple African countries for market research. The team investigated on-site frontline market demands and consolidated partnerships with key local collaborators.
The delegation first arrived in East Africa and held discussions with officials from the local Ministry of Agriculture, Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and representatives from overseas offices of domestic OEMs. Centering on the local agricultural machinery market, they promoted power products suited to local conditions and explored cooperation opportunities in agricultural equipment.
The team also visited AZONE to inspect supporting production at its KD factory and attended the handover ceremony for the 1,000th Yuchai engine. The successful delivery marks Yuchai's achievement of large-scale local supporting supply, serving as a major milestone in Yuchai's deep cultivation of the East African market and advancement of localized operations.
The delegation then traveled to Lagos, Nigeria. They had in-depth exchanges with local distributors, marine & power OEM manufacturers and key major clients on commercial vehicle and off-road machinery power matching, product working-condition adaptation, after-sales service and channel expansion, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation.
In Egypt, the team met with Emad, Chairman of AL HABIB. Both sides negotiated on light bus power matching and joint market promotion, reaching consensus on long-term in-depth cooperation.
Covering key regions of West, East and North Africa, this visit further strengthened ties between Yuchai and its African partners and consolidated the foundation for multi-party cooperation. Going forward, Yuchai will remain customer-centric, implement its global expansion strategy, sharpen advantages in products and services, and pursue win-win growth together with partners worldwide.
