In April 2020, the China Telecom ASEAN International Information Park Data Center Project reached a key milestone with the successful delivery of 12 units of 2200kW (16VC), which were officially put into phased trial operation, laying a solid core power foundation for this international digital hub based in Guangxi and oriented towards ASEAN. As a core component of the data center's power system, these units are responsible for ensuring the stable operation of computer room equipment and supporting cross-border data transmission and computing power scheduling. Their successful delivery marks the project's entry into a substantive advancement stage, laying a solid foundation for the data center's gradual commissioning and its role as an international communication hub.
The 12 delivered 2200kW (16VC) units are core power equipment customized to meet the data center's high reliability and stability requirements. Adopting mature 16VC series power technology, they boast a compact structure, stable performance, rapid response and controllable energy consumption, perfectly adapting to the 24/7 uninterrupted operation demand of large-scale data centers. Relying on high-quality wear-resistant materials and advanced electronic control technology, these units can effectively meet the power demand of the data center under high-load operation, enabling quick start-stop and stable power supply. Even in sudden situations such as external power interruption and equipment maintenance, they can switch promptly to ensure power supply continuity, fully meeting the data center's fault tolerance and stability requirements.
In terms of the project's strategic value, the delivery of the 12 2200kW (16VC) units not only consolidates the data center's hardware foundation but also helps China Telecom further improve its digital infrastructure layout for ASEAN. As a large-scale data center invested and built by China Telecom, it is based in Guangxi and radiates the 10 ASEAN countries, undertaking key functions such as cross-border data transmission, computing power scheduling and digital services. The stable power provided by these delivered units will effectively ensure the smooth operation of various data center businesses, facilitating the construction of the China-ASEAN "Digital Silk Road" and promoting regional digital interconnection.
After delivery, the relevant technical team immediately conducted follow-up work including equipment commissioning and performance testing.
